Review summary

Great destination and leaving from our home state made this a winner for an itinerary. We enjoy sea days so the extra days didn't bother us as we don't look to be entertained by the staff all the time. Captain was awesome and so was the Cruise Director. The biggest letdown was the dining experience. In general, it was horrible except when we paid a lot of money to eat in Tuscan Grille or Le Chef Petite. Only time we enjoyed a delicious meal along with great service.

It was easy and didn't take so long.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The main dining room menu's were horrible this time. Nothing fancy - simple, inexpensive dishes. Definitely cutting back on quality and variety along with staff. Not enough staff to handle all the guests in the dining room. We waited 50 mins. for our first course to be served. Buffet had the same food basically over and over. Got so tired of eating the same food so we ended up paying for reservations at Le Chef and Tuscan Grille just to enjoy a good meal and service.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did a few activities that were appropriate for my Goddaughter who has Down Syndrome. She enjoyed some of the games and dancing classes. Some days had a few hours with nothing that interest us. The Celebrity staff VS. guest activities were lots of fun!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Overall, they were all great. Only show we didn't care for was the magician.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff were the nicest and very hard working. They seem very overworked as there doesn't seem to be enough staff especially in the dining room. The stewards kept our cabins so clean and they were always helpful. The dining room staff couldn't keep up with all their guests. We stopped going to the dining room because it took too long to get food served and most of the time it was cold.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything on the inside was kept so clean. There were staff always cleaning. Outside of the ship could use a little paint. Many rust spots coming through and showing the ship's age.

Cabin / Stateroom

Beds were comfortable. Cabin for 3 was a bit small. Nice to have a balcony that was a little larger than standard. Cabin was spotless!

Ship tip

Smaller ship so easy to navigate.

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

We love Peggy's Cove. Just wish we had more time there. Excursion was too short.

St. John's, Newfoundland

Our excursion was cancelled. We walked around a bit but not much to do or see. Took a taxi to the cathedral.

Qaqortoq, Greenland

Such a quaint village. Some mosquitoes. Enjoyed seeing the icebergs.

Cruise Prins Christian Sund, Greenland

We loved this! It was stunning. Got lucky with the weather. The fog lifted and the sun came out.

Akureyri, Iceland

Another nice little village. We enjoyed seeing the waterfall and the area in general while driving around on the tour.

Isafjordur, Iceland

4 out of 5
Very small village. Not much to do. They did their best with finding things for us to do on excursions.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Beautiful city with lots to see and do. We loved the Blue Lagoon!

Disembarkation

Getting out after picking up our luggage was a bit tricky. Everyone was trying to merge through one set of doors.
