We had a wonderful time overall; however, because I'm an avid cruiser with mainly Carnival and Norwegian, I feel Celebrity definitely fell short on many things.

Review summary

We had a wonderful time, but because we have been on other lines, we were disappointed when comparing. Food not the best at all and VERY LIMITED with the free dining where to go. It is even limited with the Specialty Dining and you can't get reservations except at an extremely late time. Not acceptable. The app which the ship constantly promotes to see what is going on does not work correctly and let you do everything if you did not buy the Wi-Fi package. The events were not interesting, no gifts given and not very interactive with exception of the 80s Theme event. We love the trivia and interaction inside the ship and by the pool; however, this was not the case. The room keys kept not working and we would constantly have to go to guest services to fix that was annoying. Finally, the casino would only give promotional credit for a tounament won by my boyfriend and also my on-board credit left over on my card meaning I can ONLY lose the promotional chips that are marked differently than regular chips. I could not cash in. That was ridiculous!!!!!!!!

I fell the food fell short and not happy that I was only allowed to dine for free at the main dining room Cosmopolitan or the buffet on top floor near pool. Other lines give you many more options. Not many specialty restaurants. We could not get reservation for the one we did want to try. There were waits for dining free when at sea.

Onboard Activities

This ship did not have the activities that are so fun and interactive like its competition. Trivia was lame, no prizes, no interactive events. It was a disappointment.

We LOVE Bermuda. We did this last year on the Joy (Norwegian). We did Segway Tour, Private Taxi Tour, Jet Skis and we played miniature golf at Fun Golf.

I love the fact that it is a quieter ship and it has a different style of entertainment. There are many cruise lines that do the belly flop contest and sexiest man contest....The service on Celebrity is top notch. I have been on other cruiselines and as an older adult, I prefer the food in Blu ,the exceptional service and a low key type of entertainment. It definitely pays to do some research before you book.

Celebrity is not for everyone. I've never had a problem the three times I've sailed with them and my frist was on the summit. I was hooked.

Waiting in line for dinner absolutely sucks! That’s why we upgraded to aqua class and Blu restaurant a few years ago. Makes a huge difference!! I thought the food at all venues was fantastic! Trivia shows were a little lame but still a lot of fun. Thanks for the feedback and Happy Cruising!😎🚢
