The daily gratuities added on are to tip your cleaning and dining staff and all the people you don't see who work hard to make your experience exceptional. The bar gratuities are for bartenders. Don't know why that's hard to understand.

I know some of these, Individuals on here. I think just troll to troll. The Beverage Package is well over priced for the value. Unfortunately the only thing right now people can do now. Is not support the prices of the packages and get the smallest one possible. Their is a two fold problem, one if it's lowered you'll have more alcohol induced issues on a ship and second the gratuity is for rendering service most of the time, I would agree with this. But when price is so over priced I can see your pain.

Sounds like you may be a first time cruiser, who did not do any research of what was and was not included. It’s always important to read and understand what is and is not included in your basic fare. The charges you complained about our common on all cruise lines.
