Review summary

As a loyal Celebrity customer, I will say I was disappointed with the cruise. The ship is in need of updates, the public areas were ridiculously crowded, and the Summit is in desperate need of bartenders who know how to make a cocktail. There were crowds at the bars with more than one argument about who was next. I'll still sail Celebrity, but never again on the Summit. I hope someone reads this review!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The new embarkation process for Celebrity really sped up the process and made it a joy to board the ship. We were greeted by staff with iPads, and they got us onboarded and on our way in just a few short minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room was crazy crowded. We literally sat with our backs on top of the next table. The servers tried their best and were wonderful, but the food portions were tiny, and the food was okay. We've definetely had much better food on previous cruises.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities were fun. Silent disco is always one of our favorites (try it if you've never participated, you'll love it!), and we also tried the dance lessons. Great teachers and we had a blast!

Entertainment

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters and room stewards were great. We could see they were understaffed, and everyone tried their best to provide good service.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Common areas were clean. There was, however, a sewage smell in the hallway of our room deck.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Divot in the floor of the room, and the balcony was disgusting. Paint chips, debris, paint droppings on the chairs, mismatched head rests, dirty table. Very disappointed in the room. The room was clean, but in need of repair.

Ship tip

Do not sail on the Summit, especially during peak season! The price of the cruise was not commensurate with the experience. The Summit is old and in need of a visit to dry dock!
