Review summary

We have cruised the Summit each summer for the past three years. We park next to the NCL ship when docked in Bermuda and just don't have any desire to sail on such a massive ship. We love the personal attention and the relaxed atmosphere. Bermuda is also incredible...we just don't run out of things to do!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
No complaints at all. From dropping off the luggage with the porter, parking in the deck, then getting checked in...everything went quickly and smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We love the MDR on the Summit. New designs keep it a bit brighter in there. All meals were great, but you may be in there for up to two hours if you get desert as well. Lobster night is the best! We also ate at Qsine (got a great deal on a port day), great food but just too much for only two people.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We choose to go with the Summit because it is smaller with less crowds, and less children. The sacrifice with that is less activities. We do wish there were a bit more options during the daytime hours, but still very worth it.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The invited headliners were FANTASTIC! Great comedians, magician and musical group (Uptown). My only critique is the ship performers. Just the same shows for 2nd year in a row and each show just comes across as similar to each other.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
You can't beat Celebrity for the kindness of it's staff. Special kudos for Kate (ship steward), Amor (MDR waitress) and Pedja (bartender). Chatted up with them on multiple occasions and they came across and seriously invested in helping to make our trip an even better experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The remodel really does brighten up many of the ships areas. There appears to be more work that could be considered, especially the pool deck in which rust is still very obvious in many areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We expect a tight fit based on the category of cabin so it was within our expectations. My only true complaint was the shower in the bathroom. The shower door is so difficult to manage when getting in.

Ship tip

Initiate conversations with the staff early on the cruise, they react incredibly well when they can see that you take an interest in who they are.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We absolutely love Bermuda and plan to return next summer!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Waited for almost 1.5 hours in one of the lounges for our group number to be called...I am unsure if there is a better system though.
