Review summary

We really enjoyed our first cruise! Everything went soothly. No extra charges, no unpleasant surprises.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It took less than 5 minutes to check in. We had to wait about 10 more minutes to board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drinks in the mdr were excellent. Food in the buffet was pretty good. Parents let their kids run around and this created a somewhat dangerous situation if you were carrying a plate of food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I didn't even try to get into the pool. Just too many people. Also too many chair hogs. There was no place to even sit down. I don't think there was much else for the kids to do. I know there was a kid's club. I have no idea if it was any good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent talent every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Truly "service with a smile". The crew was great. Nothing was too much trouble.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I read some reviews that said they had torn and shredded sheets and towels. No such thing! The beds were so comfortable that my daughter said her bed was more comfortable than her bed at home.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were Concierge Class. I loved the balcony! It was so quiet and relaxing! My adult daughter and I shared a room. We enjoyed the extra perks that came with Concierge Class. We had priority boarding, a nice luncheon at boarding, a concierge on our floor, invited to a nice reception on the helli pad at sail away and our own lounge with coffee and tea as we waited to disembark. I'm afraid I'm spoiled!

Ship tip

Go Concierge Class. It was was worth it.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

3 out of 5
Thank goodness for GPS! Once off the turnpike, the cruise port was not easy to find. Also, while we waiting to be picked up, it was over 90 degrees. There was 1 drink machine for several THOUSAND people. Of course the machine emptied quickly. There was no place to get water. We were not permitted back in the building. There was a rest room available, however. Just no way to get water.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Looking forward to our cruise this September Canada/New England. This will be our first time in the Millennium Class. We appreciate your review as our previous cruises always Concierge Class but on The Solstice Class. As a Travel agent my goal is to check out the whole Celebrity Class of Ships. Thank you

Is there an adult area deck? Just to sit and relax?
