Review summary

I am a first time cruiser. I think the entire staff on the ship as a whole were what made my trip such a great experience for me. A lot of personal attention that I don't imagine I would have received on a bigger ship. I hope to cruise with more family members in the future on a Celebrity ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I was assigned to the specialty restaurant Illuminae. The food was very good and presented beautifully. The staff were very attentive and friendly and always made me feel welcome at each meal. Also, ate twice at the new restaurant Sushi on 5. Liked it so much I went back again.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was always activities scheduled each day/night. I chose to be lazy and spend my time at the pools sunbathing.

Service and Staff

Our butler Ram was wonderful. He knew I was a first time cruiser and went out of his way to help to make my trip a good experience. Fresh fruit and flowers in our suite each day. Canapes in the afternoon during sailing days. The entire wait staff at the Illuminae restaurant were great. Learned our likes and dislikes very quickly. Even let us look at another specialty restaurant menu for more choices. Very hard workers who spend months on the ship working long hours and always made me feel special.

Ship Quality

Older ship but I found it to be very clean and easy to move about.

Ship tip

It was my first cruise. I worried about being sea sick. I contacted by doctor who ordered Scopolamine patches for me. Never felt nauseous at any time during the trip.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Very organized upon arrival to port to begin cruise. Suite passenger so given reserved area to wait for time to board ship. Suite guests taken to reserved room on ship called Michael's Room and given champagne. This room reserved the entire trip for Suite passengers. Upon return to this port found the experience to be disorganized and slow to be processed.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

The port was clean and well organizd for passengrs disembarking from two cruise ships at the same time. Did not do an excursion. Took taxis to Horseshoe Bay and Tobacco Bay for the beautiful blue water and beaches. Tobacco Bay bathrooms were in terrible shape. Money needs to be spent to upgrade to meet the tourists needs.
