Best cruise I’ve been on so far with my favorite destination to date.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Everyone was friendly and the port out of Bayonne was very convenient but the line to get checked in was extremely long and slow moving.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Great crew, great drinks. Most food was good, especially at specialty restaurants. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as the seated dining is only open until 9am and the the buffet was just ok. For a quick lunch, grab a burger or hotdog poolside.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There were always lots of fun options through out the day.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The talent on board was amazing and all the shows and performers had a tremendous amount of talent and kept you entertained from start to finish.
Also, the art auctions were surprisingly fun. I’ve never been in to art before and just happened upon the auction while grabbing a drink but it was a lot of fun.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was great and always greeted you with a smile and warm conversation.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The Summit is an older ship but was still beautiful and clean. A little outdated in certain ways but not enough to take away from the enjoyment.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Slightly worn down and small but you don’t expect a large room on a cruise and for an older ship, you can only do so much maintenance. It was cleaned well though and fully functional.
Ship tip
Although it is an older ship, it is still beautiful. Don’t hesitate to book a trip on board, especially down to Bermuda.
No fault of celebrity but the disembarkation was horrible. Very long line to get through customs and for some reason the port only had 2 customs agents at first to handl all the passengers getting off the ship. They eventually added a couple more agents and the line sped up but the line took at least an hour to get through. One positive is the customs agent was very nice.
Another great lunch option is the Aqua Spa Cafe. Sea days, you'll always find me at the Thalossotherapy pool with lunch at the Aqua Spa. Love the Summit! Can't wait to sail on her again!
