Review summary
Boy did we pick the wrong time of year or what. It was hot and crowed. I couldn't fit my little toe in the pool or find a lounge chair that wasn't crammed next to some one else. So much for relaxing there.
Purchased the classic beverage package which turned out to be strange. First beer my husband wanted was on the premium package so he was immediately
pointed to the premium upgrade... $82 more. The whole system is nickel-dime and requires one to negotiate for cocktails since my package remained classic. I could order a Tanqueray and tonic but no Tanqueray martini. Just wierd.
Also, the service at the martini bar was slow and terrible. Bartenders would not make eye-contact with customers. We saw it happening to others aroundus. It was as though if they take their time serving drinks it might save the ship money.
The bus tour around Bermuda was way over-priced for what it was and in my opinion for the price should have included some food or less cost and more time to grab a bite.
Also found the buffets to be so crowded that I lost weight trying jacking for positions and the food stations....maybe a good thing?
Service in the dining rooms was lacking in consistency although the Cosmopolitan did a pretty good job. Our best meal was the Tuscan Grill which, of course costs
us over $100 in on board credits. Don't like to have to pay for a meal that should be included but it as the only way to get service and solitude on our anniversary.
All in all we wouldn't recommend this cruise to anyone. The best part of our trip
was the friends we went with.
