Review summary

This cruise is easy access for folks from the northeast.  Parking at the Bayonne Terminal is reasonable and right near the ship.  You can drop off luggage and then just park.  The ship is not a "mega" ship and just the right size.  Yes it is a little dated in spots but you really need to look to find those spots.  Everything is convenient on this ship because it isn't a "mega" ship.  Food is exceptional.  Staff is friendly and can't do enough to please you.  Entertainment is fun and enjoyable.  We have been on this ship four times and booked another cruise on the Summit out of San Juan.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food on any Celebrity Ship is outstanding. None better on the seas. Blu was great and a nice Aqua Class perk. Food was great, didn't feel stuffed, staff attentive and remembered your name after the first night. Poached egg station in the Ocean View Café was a nice addition. However, pasta station and sandwich station need a little more help to reduce the lines at peak eating times. Visit Café Al Bracio for tea and special coffees. Have a piece of cake with your pot of tea, cappuchinno, etc.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with kids this time but did travel with our young Grandchildren last August and they loved the Fun Factory.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dining room crew in Blu were exceptional. Gabriel and Ikadek were the best. Mario and Lionel in the Sunset Bar were also exceptional. Fun, great conversation and attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Due to size of the ship everything is convenient . Very clean. Staff always cleaning, polishing, painting outside, etc.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Missed having bottled water delivered each day like they used to do for Aqua Class but cabin was great. Only thing that would have made the cabin better would be an overhang to cover the Veranda but I know that isn't possible.

Ship tip

In Bermuda hop a cab to Horseshoe Bay. Go early so it isn't crowded. Cabs drop you off at the bottom of the hill and pick up there to take you back to the ship. St. George is just a water taxi ride away. There is a small train tour, horse and carriage tour or just get a cab for a tour

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey
