Summit to Bermuda ~ floating hotel

Sail Date: May 29, 2016

Reviewed: 4 months ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was in dry dock this spring and it showed ~ it was very clean. The shows in the evening were very good. The food in the main dining room and buffet was ok, not the quality that cruise ships are known for. We did anytime dining and you don't see the same people when dining, nor did we have the same wait staff.  The Tuscan Grille was exceptional in both food quality and service, but at an extra $45.00 per person it should be. The quality of the drinks varieties by bar ~ a strawberry daiquiri would be great at one bar and not so good at the pool bar.  The yoga class was not worth $11.00 nor was the martini making class worth $35.00, even the free classes were not on topic. We stayed in a Concierge Class Staterooms and both our stateroom attendant and concierge were wonderful, so attentive and helpful. We felt most of the shore excursions were over priced ~ You can take the Bermuda buses or ferry to Hamilton or the beaches for a lot less money and then stay as long as you like. Buy the three day pass in the dock terminal and tour the island yourself.  It is a great floating hotel and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will try another cruise line the next time we cruise because we will be going to multiple ports and the quality of food is just ok.

Cabin / Stateroom
We only had to ask our stateroom attendant for something once and it was taken care of the entire cruise. If the concierge didn't know the answer she would find out and let us know.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Both embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The staff is there to direct you and make sure thing run smoothly.
Ship Quality
The Summit was in dry dock ~ Spring 2016.
Destinations and Excursions
Excursions were over priced you can do them on your own using the Bermuda bus or ferry.
Onboard Activities
Entertainment
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Disappointed at the quality of food in the main dining room. The Tuscan Grille food was wonderful but $45.00 pp.
Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey
We were dropped off by car service ~ don't know what the parking is like.

Tip

You can buy a there day bus pass in King's Wharf and it is unlimited use for both the buses and ferry.
