This itinerary was very different than what we had experienced before on cruises. We were delighted that ports were not inundated with trinket touristy gift shops. We felt we really did get a feel for each countries culture as best we could in the short time we visited.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was seamless
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We only ate in the main dining room except for a couple quick breakfasts or snack in the Oceanview Cafe buffet. The food was good, but we remember it being a little better on past Celebrity Cruises. The coffee bar had nice specialty coffee, drinks and pastries.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the fitness center almost every morning and the solarium on sea days. It was only sunny and warm enough one day that we could sit outside by the pool.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Some shows on this sailing were better than others. We did enjoy the silent discos and sing alongs.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a great room steward and waiters everywhere we went.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The Silhouette's design was wonderful! Our sailing was full, but we never felt like it was crowded on the ship. It was clean and we witnessed people cleaning, painting and wiping off areas everyday.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect and spacious! We enjoyed the balcony a lot especially sailing into Stockholm early in the morning and again in the evening. I brought magnetic hooks for the wall to hang up sweatshirts, jackets and hats. Our room steward kept everything very tidy.
Ship tip
Visit the Ensemble Lounge. We missed it for days as we didnt realize it was there. It's kinda dark and moody and had live music most evenings. We also ordered complimentary coffee to be delivered to our state room every morning. We enjoyed that while getting ready for the day.
We chose to take the Celebrity Shuttle to the Gdynia train station to get to Gdansk. That was a little confusing, but worked out great. Gdansk Old town area was fantastic. Then we ventured to a newer section that was even better. We had great beer and Polish food. We would've liked more time here.
Another fantastic port. Easily walkable around the outside of the medival wall. So many walking paths and places to explore. Inside the walls it was pretty crowed, but we walked around checking out the sights. We ended up getting outside of the town a bit and found a great coffee roastery.
Sailing in and out of Stockholm was so much fun! It took us 4 hours to sail in and out thru the fjords...just beautiful! We chose to do a food walking tour here with Viator. It was fun learning about the culture here and talking to our guide who was born and raised in Stockholm.
We had 1-1/2 days in Copenhagen. What a great place to visit! We enjoyed walking around Tivoili, watching the changing of the guard, saw beautiful gardens and sampled beers and food while watching an outdoor music venue. The shuttle service offered by Celebrity was perfect for getting to and from the port.
Disembarkation was disappointing. We purchased a transfer to the Rotterdam train station and it took about 1-1/2-2 hours past our scheduled time to board a bus and be transferred.
