Would not recommend the current version unless you like a clean ship, bland food and no excursions. We treated it as an escape with no connectivity and some sun. Bring your own food as what is served is just above drive-thru status.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
I know there was some construction, but waiting almost 4 hours - no it was not pleasant. Not enough help or buses to transport guests.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food in the dining room was the same as in the buffet, with a few exceptions - it was plated and brought to you. Minute steaks for breakfast were serve as New York strips for dinner. Same for the other entrees , just plated from the buffet.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Mediocre entertainment, nothing special. Again for being a "Leader" in the industry they need to step it up.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Nothing special to report.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Not really a kid friendly venue.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Cabin staff friendly and efficient.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Best thing about the ship, it was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Nice and clean.
Ship tip
Nice clean ship, just poor food and entertainment.
Hurricane caused a change of ports/excursions and they were not prepared. Wait at least a year to go as they are still re-building and those that stayed do not like your business.
I have been on S class for an Alaska cruise and I was disappointed in this one. Everyone on my party got sick.. virus outbreak. Food was bland and too repetitive. I informed guest relations I was allergic to nuts / seeds and several times they tried to serve me seeds. Disembarkation was a nightmare over 45 mins.
Spent 24 days on her back in July 2017. Loved the shop and the crew. The MDR was fabulous and the food was a lot better than the buffet. Not sure what issues you had but better luck next time. Looking forward to 21 days on Reflection In August. Love Celebrity.
