Review summary

Cruise was a disaster. Celebrity is a super cheap and an incompetent Cruise Line. Our dining room meals were bad, poorly prepared and tasteless. We had 2 sea days before arriving in Israel, but Celebrity did not have a single presentation educating us on Israel. All passengers were anxious to learn about Israel, but they gave us nothing. The entertainment was a joke, essentially non-existant. The theater shows were very amateurish and we looked for dancing venues but nothing except a small dance floor by the elevators holding about 20 people on a ship with 3,000. We went to a nightclub twice but all they had were music videos; no dancing and no people, just waiters standing around. We've cruised 30 times with Princess and the difference is unbelievable. Princess has fabulous shows plus dancing in several venues with live music every night. The service on Celebrity was so bad they had to change our cabin steward because the original one was not providing ice and she kept resetting the temperature setting in the shower so it was scalding hot every time we got into the shower. It was like this was the first cruise ever for Celebrity and they didn't want to spend any money on entertainment. We will never, never cruise with Celebrity again. They are completely incompetent and don't give a damn about providing a quality cruise for their guests.

So tandtjames there were 3000 passengers that suggests there were 114 stowaways as the ship can only take 2886 passengers. Maybe they ate all the good food, perhaps you should ask for a refund.

We had a bad experience on the Golden Princess ( our sixth with the Company ) and after complaining that there were young children running around at 8:30pm sitting and the parents in shorts,flip flops taking no notice of their children we received such a standard letter that we have never booked with them since. Changed to Celebrity and now looking forward to our 5th and 6th cruise this year.

We sail a lot both with Princess & Celebrity. I read a review once by someone that sailed on the same trip we were on and couldn't believe they were on the same cruise. They hated everything and nothing pleased them. We had a fabulous time and we were like whaat???? There are people out there that can see the good in nothing.

We have sailed with Celebrity several times and due to go on Silouette in 3 weeks time which will be 4th time on Silhouette. Never had a bad experience so surprised at your comments and if it was so bad make a formal complaint....can't believe it was that bad.

I beg to differ. I loved Celebrity both times I was on it. Great food and service. Silhouette rooms were amazing. Biggest bathroom I have had on a cruise ship in a balcony room. You get out of an experience what your willing to put into it. We sailed a ship to the Bahamas called Carribian cruise (just over might each way). The rooms were actually discussing and our bed was actually on the floor. So......we chose to just not be in the room much and and stayed out enjoying all the activities. Had a blast! You have to make your own experience, never rely on anyone/thing else for that. Just saying!

Never had a bad cruise on Celebrity -had a really stinky (BO) cabin steward Once but they took care of me and we're going on another one in 2 weeks. Celebrity is great. I've been on 42 cruises.

We're sailing the silhouette for the third time in April. Also, we've sailed on the reflection. Never have we had the experience you mention. But I believe you won't be around to reply. I think this was a hit and run review because someone didn't get their way. I've never experienced a cruise that was a disaster either. The ships didn't sink and we've made it home Alive each and every time.

Everyone one is different. My parents (both in 70s) hated princess. Thought it was the most boring cruise they ever went on. So...to each their own.

WOW! I've sailed Celebrity Eclipse twice and Silhouette once and never had the experience you had. I'll be sailing Silhouette in May for the British Isle cruise. The only problem we had was weather related and they can't control that.
