Review summary
The Celebrity Silhouette is a gorgeous ship. It was decorated for Christmas and Hannakah and seemed so festive. The entertainment was top notch and the aerial artists were breathtaking! Usually inside cabin cruisers, we splurged on a veranda this time and it was well worth it! The cabin was spacious and the bathroom the biggest we have ever had on a ship. We had the beverage package also worth it! Our cabin was on deck 7 and much to our delight right down the hall was The Hideaway. It was a great place to go to read or relax overlooking the Atrium. The best part was it was equipped with coffee and tea service. Every morning I threw on my robe and went down to hall to get our coffee to enjoy on our veranda. What a great bonus! The crew was great...so friendly and helpful. There were many handicapped people cruising and I saw so many acts of kindness by the crew. Getting food, drinks, condiments, and helping in and out of elevators etc. Our only complaint was we did not think the food on the dining room was very good. The first 2 nights were OK but after that there were many strange foods on the menu we did not find appealing. The every day menu of steak and broiled chicken got smaller and drier as the cruise went on. The food on the buffet was plentiful and good though. The ports were great. We especially loved the private island Labadee. It was a tropical paradise. All in all a great experience! On to cruise 27!
