Review summary

Don’t know where to start! How about first our itinerary was changed two days before sailing and cut from four ports to three with no compensation or explanation… and then We weren’t notified until when we were about to get off the ship that you can’t if you have un vaxed children; I would like to add this isn’t by choice my children didn’t meet the guidelines to be… so now I have three hysterical children who wanted to go explore and get off the boat just for a few hours and we’re told they can’t! I might add no where in the booking contract does it state this! We made arrangements to see family in Nassau last minute when we were changed to that port and wasn’t allowed to see them the only way they would allow us on dry land was to pay ridiculous amounts of money for there shortly excursions which Were “private” except you were interacting not only with the staff but other cruise ships… our vacation was ruined they didn’t care what so ever the staff were rude sited to us it was in the contract when I had them print the contract to show me where they were unable to do so! Honestly just disgusted with how a family of three small children was treated after spending so much on a family vacation for thanksgiving

Stirting pot with: in preparation for our upcoming cruise, I am reading port restrictions (unvaccinated pax not allowed off ship) are country imposed, not cruise line imposed. Cruise line(s) are just following requirements placed on them. I am NOT looking to start discussion on the requirements, only stating they are requirements.

Celebrity is not a cruise like for kids or families with young children. Disney is tho I would be disappointed with Disnet and the hundreds of kids running rampant up and down the halls as well as the elevators. Celebrity cater to a 50+ crowd, many who are seeking a relaxing holiday and that is why you were disappointed. You must do your research because the cruise lines cater to different folks.

Ncl wouldn't have even let your kids on, let alone off. But yeah next time do your research, Celebrity not the best choice for family of young kids, the cruise line all have it stated that there are some ports and which, will not allow unvaxxed, and your compensation for changed or removed is the port fees are refunded to you.

I will only add that your cruise contract is mailed to you (pre-COVID) and likely given to you in the form of a PDF in your e-docs email. I know this, as I've sailed with Celebrity and I was able to download it for myself and save a PDF copy on my phone. You didn't need them to print it out the contract, you could have look it up for yourself.

Sorry this cruise was not to your liking.

A little research would have told you that Celebrity is not the best cruise line for children or a party atmosphere. There are many better options for a family vacation currently other than cruising - the beach, a lake cabin, state or National Park - that don’t have the Covid restrictions for children. If you must cruise, try a newer ship from Carnival, Royal Caribbean or NCL for more children’s activities.

It is up to you to know the COVID procedures each cruise line has, they are posted on their website. It is common knowledge now that cruise lines are not letting unvaccinated guests or kids off the ship in port or you must do a bubble tour only. The websites plainly state this.
