Review summary

Despite draw backs, Celebrity staff and beautiful ship made it another enjoyable New Years cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was awful. At least 1.5 hours from being called to disembark to getting trough passport control. Long lines, people pushing in line once bags were collected rather that going to the "back of the line" and only 3 passport control/customs office available for 3000 people. Of we were in the the line with the one officer that like to pass the time of day with everybody that he examined.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in dinning room was nothing to rave about and sent many dishes back for replacement. That's why we only ate there 3 of the 7 evenings. Food in the buffet was good with lots of variety.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
As good or better that some other ships.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Some of the shows were very good. Comedian not so good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent staff. Very attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Areas of entertainment, Atrium, etc, were too small and therefore were much to crowded for the music events and some contest activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Excellent cabin. Size and balcony were larger that other ships. Not sure I would pay the extra money for "concierge class" as I didn't any value and the afternoon hors d'oeuvres were awful.

Ship tip

Nice ship, good crew, clean.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Did not "visit" or do any trips except arrive and leave by car.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
Explored on foot.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Nice beaches and shopping.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Lots to do as far as shopping.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
Beaches around town (10 minutes from port) were more wading beaches in this area. Lots of trinket stands.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Awful. At least 1.5 hours to get trough passport/customs control. Celebrities end was fine but US Customs and Border Patrol was disorganized with only 3 passport officers (one attendant remarked "every day different) for many hundreds and no organization to collect baggage and get in line. Lots of pushing in line and arguments.
