Celebrity Reflection

10 Night Ultimate Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)

Sail date: November 29, 2019

Ship: Celebrity Reflection

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

This was my first Celebrity Cruise and I believe that Celebrity is going to be my "go to" cruise line. The service, the food, the entertainment and beauty of the ship were outstanding. I will, of course, have to do another Celebrity cruise to verify this conclusion.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Above excellent! Hot food was always hot, impeccable prepared; cold food was always just the right temperature; salads were fresh and crisp. Service was unbelievable!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
enjoyed the "hide-away" for quiet time and a cup of coffee which was available right there from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Entertainment

5 out of 5
nice variety, excellent performers except for the first night comedian. I realize that the first night must be a very difficult night to entertain people but no need to insult the audience if the jokes were not funny

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The first night in the dining room I was seated at a table for six. Not one came to the table that night except me. The wait staff, especially DJeorge, (not spelled correctly) was very solicitous and caring. The next night they moved me to a table of 8, #123 with wonderful conversational people. Efren, Brett and Nenad were excellent in serving everyone and remembering their special requests. I was cruising alone as my cabin mate had to have surgery and was unable to come

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent layout. I wasn't able to get to all areas of the ship so I may need to cruise again on the Reflection!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin 3131 was very comfortable and Shinell was and excellent, pleasant very friendly Cabin caretaker.

Ship tip

Take pictures and names of wait staff so you can give credit where credit is due on evaluations like this!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Easy access from airport. Easy entry, there were some computer issues when I was checking in which made check in take longer and the lines were long waiting.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
I did an excursion of the Island with Heavenly tours booked through the Hilton site. It was excellent. Small group, very attentive guide, small van for transport. Very relaxing and informative.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
did not do an excursion; just walked around the port

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Very nice port. I did an 6 hour ship excursion which was very crowded, small bus, not much time to see the garden which was one of the stops because with so many people to get on and off the bus, to the Pitons. the guide was not very informative. The Heavenly Tours trip on Antigua was much more enjoyable.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
I did the ship sponsored train tour on St. Kitts. It was excellent! The entertainment on board, the free drinks and the narrated history of the island was wonderful.. I strongly recommend this tour

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
I have been to St. Maarten before so I did not do an excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Adequate time and locations for breakfast, relaxed orderly departure system, lots of places to wait so did not feel crowded
