Every time I cruise with Celebrity I find it becomes more and more aimed at upsell marketing. Everything they add seems to cost money Plus they have raise the price significantly for the specialty restaurants. This used to be one of my top choices for a cruise and I thought that it really was better than other mid range cruise lines, but I’m not so sure now. I know the experience varies from ship to ship And I’m sure it’s a sail on another celebrity cruise. They should change their motto to “sail and be sold”

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The buffet was five stars, but the dining room only three stars. This was a major disappointment for us since we had sailed on the Summit last October and the dining room was superb.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Other than game shows and dance lessons almost all activities were actually a chance for them to market something
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Most of the entertainment on board was good. My major complaint is that we did a celebrity cruise about three years ago and we had seen 2 of the productions
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our ship steward Bonney was excellent, The staff in the buffet were good and so nice the staff in the dining room were very good and other nights unacceptable.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
I think for the most part the ship design was good except for the main dining room. Almost every other line we have cruised with the main dining room has windows all across the back giving a wonderful view. This dining room walls on the interior with windows only on either side. It seemed very dark and I found the decor sterile and appealing as appealing as a 7-Eleven. The ship was clean and very well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was spacious and well designed with a lot of storage. Our steward kept our space immaculate and quickly learned what our preferences were so that we always found the cabin the way we wanted it
