Review summary

Wonderful!! We enjoyed it so much we booked another.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent! We arrived at the port at 11 am, walked through a very small line, were called forward to review paperwork, took our photos and DONE! Left the counter and walked onboard the beautiful ship. We had booked Concierge stateroom and upon boarding were greeted with champagne which was delicious, and then we wandered around a bit and then proceeded to the main dining room for a delicious lunch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants because we thought that the Main dining room was very good. Our wait staff at dinner each evening was excellent. They were knowledgeable about the food that was being served that evening and our sommelier, Paul would pair a delicious wine for us if wanted. We felt very spoiled! We did visit the buffet on several occasions. My husband ate breakfast there every morning and really enjoyed the staff and food. We also dined there on several nights when we wanted to relax or stay casual and eat on the back deck.

Champagne Bar / Martini Bar

5 out of 5

The Martini bar was amazing. We had a favorite waiter named Andika. He was ALWAYS smiling and so very sweet. We usually met our friends at the bar sometime in the afternoon for a pre-dinner/show martini. Some of our favorites were the 25th anniversary, the lemon drop and the candied apple martini. Delicious!!!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed watching the Reflection staff interact in games and entertainment at all venues. Some of our favorites were the trivia challenges and my all time favorite was the Silent Disco. What a blast. If you have never done the silent disco, don't miss it on your next cruise!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We watched several of the evening shows. We had late dining so we were usually at the 7pm shows. They shows were varied, ranging from a Comedian to an Illusionist, to a comedian/piano player to an very talented soloists and groups. All of them were very, very good.

Children's Programs

We did not travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As I mentioned above, the martini bar and Andika was one of our favorites. Our main dining room team was OUTSTANDING: waiter - Feliciano Asst. waiter - Jewelyn Sommelier - Paul Our cabin steward David was equally amazing. He spoke with us several times a day and always fulfilled any requests that we asked for promptly and with a BIG smile. He seemed to be on call 20 out of 24 hours. He was usually available if you peeked out your door and if not he left a phone number where you could reach him. Truly top notch service!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ships was spotless. I have only seen 2 other places during my travels that were as well maintained as the Celebrity Reflection. One was the country of Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto) and the other was Disney World. From early morning to late evening there were staff cleaning, straightening, vacuuming, polishing, etc. It was a well run, well maintained ship. Kudos to the hard working staff that kept it looking so wonderful!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a concierge balcony that was lovely. As mentioned earlier, our room steward, David was wonderful. He kept the room clean, fresh and lovely the entire trip. It was a decent size, plenty big enough for the 2 of us. The only negative I found in the cabin was the lack of drawer space. The drawers in the dresser (3 of them) are deep, but not very big and the drawers in the bathroom were very tiny. Luckily there were storage shelves in the bath area and large overhead storage cabinets above the bed.

Ship tip

SO many choices..........the Baccio cafe on deck 5. Amazing pastries and specialty coffees, teas, etc The martini bar on deck 4 The delicious food in the main dining room The daily activities posted on your ships schedule sheet every evening for the next day The Silent Disco

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Flew in and left on the ship the next morning

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Did not visit port

We had visited Costa Rica last year and enjoyed a ship day while everyone else went ashore. :)

Colon, Panama

We did the Portobelo/Panama canal excursion. I was disappointed with the first half which was the bus ride to Portobelo. It is a Unesco World Heritage site with a lot of history, but it was a long ride (65-75 minutes) there and an hour back before traveling to the Canal. I felt a bit cheated because the canal was so cool and we were there in time to see a ship going through the locks, but there wasn't a long enough time to watch the ship, see the movie about how the canal was built and to visit the museum/shop that was there. I would have preferred a longer time at the Canal and less time in the town of Portobelo.

Cartagena, Colombia

5 out of 5
Amazing city! We did the Segway Cartagena tour in the morning which covered the old walled town of Cartagena. It was amazing! We returned to the ship to change clothes and eat dinner then went back to the walled city for a fun evening of walking around, listening to local music and sight seeing. On day 2 we did another excursion (not through Celebrity) and rode a boat along the coastline with our tour guide to the beautiful beach at Playa Blanca. We stayed at the beach for a couple of hours enjoying the beautiful white sand and turquoise waters and eating locally caught fish for lunch.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
We have been to Grand Cayman on previous cruises and already knew where we wanted to go. We LOVE the beach at 7 mile beach there and always return to our favorite spot to swim, snorkel, eat and relax

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We have travelled to Cozumel on several occasions. We did a private tour of a catamaran/snorkel while we were there and then we visited several of the shops in the local port where we docked.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, quick and painless. We had an early flight to catch so we did self-carry disembarkation at 7:20am. We were in line to exit by 7:30 and off the ship about 7:45. Through customs and taxi to the airport for our return flight.
