We expected a lot, and just mildly disappointed in a few minor things...All in all,it was an awesome vacation from retirement and a great
winter break...
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We boarded earlier than expected, and all went smooth and quickly.
We even were allowed to accept our cabin...A nice surprise!
We met our room Steward and were impressed with his friendly smile and polite manners.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We ate most meals in Opus Dining Room.
We enjoyed many good meals, but noticed a few cuts in quality and selection.
Service was very good for the most part..And the staff very eager to please.
We missed seeing filet on the menu...and flaming cherries jubilee and flaming baked Alaska...
Oceanview Cafe and Bar
3 out of 5
We ate lunch at Buffet five times...Some dishes were tasty, but we tired of the same selection...Found meat at Grill very thinly sliced and often overcooked.
We would have liked more soup selections rather than one cold soup, and one hot soup...
Breads and buns very good, and sweets nice, but coffee often too strong and bitter...
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We enjoyed walking on the track and using the treadmill. We also enjoyed the Casino daily.
We attended some shows, and we enjoyed the ship period...
Entertainment
4 out of 5

Children's Programs

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room Steward was awesome...Cabin 9136 Fat--- He went over and above to make sure we were happy with everything...
Also the D.R. Stewards were very polite, patient, and eager to please.
The cleaning staff do a great job..Reflection very clean..
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We were impressed with the ship layout and design.. The large cupboards above the beds virtually wasted space..Most folks not tall enough to use...
The cleanliness inside and outside very impressive...
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin almost perfect for our cruise..We loved the Balcony!
The TV took some getting use to for seniors!!
Again,we could have used more room for folded clothes,as the space above the bed was wasted for us.
Ship tip
We enjoyed Anytime Dining in the Opus Dining Room...We always agreed to share a table,so we met many interesting and charming cruisers..
We always enjoy an overnight before and after the cruise...An extra time before returning to the cold and snow..
Always meet nice friendly folks there in shops or restaurants..or taxies or shuttle..
It was a nightmare. We had a small power bar confiscated by security when we boarded, then we forgot about it...😱
We were stopped when leaving the ship and my husband was told to go to Security for the d-- bar...They would not agree to throw it in the garbage..I waited at the point where we were stopped with our carry on luggage and hand bags...My husband did not realize that there were more than one exit point...so not seeing me waiting,he exited the ship and made his way to the baggage area. He thought I was lost.I thought he was lost! Not a good experience😱
There are foldable cubes 12in x 12in that can be used for the space above the bed, row of 3 cubes on each side. Next time i will purchase some cubes...also 10in x 10in for the night tables.
