Review summary

Totally enjoyed the ship and the staff and entertainment. This was our 2nd time on Reflection (first time Mediterranean Sea). Unfortunately the weather was not great (obviously not Celebrity's fault) so we missed 1 of 3 planned ports (Key West) but the staff quickly organized on-ship events to keep everyone engaged and happy. We really enjoy Celebrity and prefer the S-class (larger) ships, due to the space, events, and entertainment!

Embarkation

The organization at Port Everglades for this departure was less organized that we have experienced elsewhere. There was little separation between Elite, Elite Plus, AQ, etc. and the lines moved very slowly than our previous check-in's. It wasn't bad but was the first time we waited a half-hour to check-in and board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Murano was exceptional. The food absolutely a 'foodies' experience, and the service was supurb! BLU (for Aqua Class cabins) was great as always, food portions appropriate and a good selection of wines. We did not experience the main dining room.

Champagne Bar / Martini Bar

5 out of 5

I did the martini tasting one afternoon and they prepared 11 drinks at the same time and poured them in sequence from above! The bar men were true showmen! Great entertainment and the martinis were very tasty and a great way to decide what to order again (likes/dislikes). A fun afternoon!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
pool, dancing, watching art auctions, lounging.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Silent Disco events were so much fun. Wearing headphones with 1 of 3 different music selections available for your dancing pleasure and hundreds of folks participating but no sound coming from large speakers made this great fun and unusual if you'd walked in and saw it without hearing the music. We had a blast.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was very attentive to detail. Guest relations was superb in assisting us with a family emergency.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love Celebrity's S-class ships. Reflection is well laid out and easy to find what you're looking for.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of storage, room to move around. Bathroom well laid-out and the showers for the Aqua Class rooms are spacious. Cabin was very clean and well cared for.

Ship tip

The Aqua Spa cafe has great lunches, with smart-sized portions of healthy food. Possibly overlooked on deck 14.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Easy access off I-95 and the FL Turnpike. Off Port parking is readily available.

Key West, Florida Did not visit port

The winds were so high the port and captain determined it was not safe to enter, so we had an extra sea day.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Had been here before, so just walked off ship and did a little trinket shopping at the port.

Cozumel, Mexico

We did the chocolate and wine tasting event and totally loved it. We ground beans to make our own chocolate bar and had the opportunity to taste a variety of white and dark chocolates (even a dark chocolate with chili-peppers inside!), and had a white and red wine tasting along with the wine. The location was right on the water so the setting was pretty and it was an easy 10 minute bus ride to/from the cruise port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and easy to find our luggage. Easy access to off-site parking bus.
