This was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing cruises we have taken. The staff were outstanding and very attentive. Charniel, the head waiter in the dining room was a joy to be around, as were the assistant Bobby and the wine steward Jerry. We looked forward to dinner each night just to have interaction with these three gentlemen. They certainly deserve some recognition for making our trip memorable. Our group of 6 were fortunate enough to be assigned the same table each evening, even though we had the select dining time. I celebrated a birthday on board, and the bar staff and wait staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make it an extra special evening. Our room was always clean and well kept by the attendent Glory. Even though there were 2500 passengers on board, the ship didn't seem crowded, and it was one of the smoothest rides ever. We have already highly recommend the Celebrity cruise line for persons considering a future cruise. One of our most positive observations is there never seemed to be long line or long waits in any areas such as Guest Relations, Excursions, Theater, Buffet, etc. Always sufficient staff and options!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The quality of food and the choices of menu options were better than we have found on recent cruises. The buffet was also outstanding.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not of much interest to us -- but always seemed to have things scheduled.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
A nice variety and the stage settings were outstanding. Somewhat disappointed in the cruise director, but we think he was just completing his time! :-)
Children's Programs
Didn't have any kids with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Charniel, the head waiter was outstanding. Very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Bobby always had a smile on his face and Jerry never forgot our wine selection. How we enjoyed them. Glory kept our room impeccable. Kudos to them. Wish we could remember the bartender and barmaid's names in the Passport bar. We went there every evening just to interact with them. The bartender had his 27th birthday on Feb. 28. I believe the barmaid was the only female in that area. Wish the name tags were easier to read. We spoke to Glory about our night light not working and he immediately had a repairman there to fix it. Every staff person on The Reflection was friendly and helpful, not matter how busy they were.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Design, decor and cleanliness were all outstanding. Our best cruse ship ever. (this is the 13th)
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Always found it clean and made up when we returned from being outside the room. The cabin seemed larger than other we have been in and the space was very well utilized. Interesting concept of rounded bed corners. Wish we had a world weather station on the T.V. Free movies were great.
Ship tip
The coffee and gelato bar on Deck 5 were an added bonus. Take advantage of the Beverage Package as it's well worth the money!
If you are not a "beach" person, there isn't much to do, except shop. The tender getting back to the ship was an experience because of high waves. Took over an hour because the Reflection needed to move in order to block waves so passengers could disembark. But we were extremely grateful for the staff not taking any chances with the passengers.
