Review summary

All aspects of this cruise were top notch. Crossing the Ocean, contrary to being boring was full of many different things to do from just relaxing in the sun by the pool to the Casino, multiple demonstrations of various things like jewellery, cooking, Dancing and other fun things. The cabin was comfortable and very well looked after by the attendant. he was always available for any requirements we had and extremely helpful and pleasant at all times.

The meals were the highlight for me as I found the variety just endless and if anything the choices were almost to many....but I did manage just fine. We ate in both the formal dining room as well as the casual dining room and both were always well staffed and extremely clean considering the number of passengers at all sittings.

Although we didn't take advantage of the tours, as we prefer to do our own travel at the stops, we found the staff very helpful in providing information on what to do at the various ports and were pleased with arrangements of shuttle busses and maps provided by the ship.

Overall an extremely enjoyable cruise and would highly recomment Celebrity to my friends.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Couldn't give any higher marks for the food. Top quality all the way from Breakfast to Dinner and all the great snacks in between.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of variety so there was something for everyone. we enjoyed the events with other passengers but still were able to have quiet times in the other areas of the ship.

Entertainment

No time to be bored with the entertainment. At times some events were spaced to close together so it was hard to schedule taking part but certainly lots of great events to choose from

Children's Programs

.....To old to take part in these but if they were as good as the adult events they would have been great for the kids!!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Would love to have taken most of the staff home. From the cleaners to the waiters, room attendant and on and on all were very helpful and pleasant at all times.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well laid out for ease of getting around and maintained very well in all aspects.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very impressed with the size of the Cabin. We had wondered if we would feel crowded with the amount of luggage and cloths we brought but everything fit just fine and considering we were on a ship it felt more like a luxury hotel room.

Ship tip

Treat yourself to "Breakfast in Bed" a few times during the trip, or have a late night snack delivered to your stateroom. Like staying in a high class hotel!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

First time to Miami and found the city is easy to get around with the "People Mover" we bought a train ticket which was also good on the buses and the People Mover itself was free. Three days was really to short but a good start for the Cruise.

Tenerife, Canary Islands

A good stop after the 8 day trip across the ocean.

Malaga, Spain

Had been to Malaga many years ago but a pleasure to see the city again.

Barcelona, Spain

A second day was great as there is just so much to see. Did a lot of walking on the second day as well as shopping.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

Beautiful little town and took the train to Monaco....could have used more time there as it is a beautiful place but got to see a bit of the practice for the Grand Prix.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy Did not visit port

Will be visiting Italy in the next few years and travelling with our Daughter and Husband who will be living in Naples for 3 years. Stayed on board for a rest.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

Stayed here on a previous trip but this time, only to leave the ship and travel to Rome.
