My wife and I took a repositioning cruise on the Celebrity Millennium from Tokyo to Singapore which was everything we hoped for and more. To start off with, we love Celebrity and it is right up to our speed as a couple in our 50's who are laid back. Celebrity treats us like VIP's
Embarkation

Fast, smooth easy
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The waitstaff were amazing and friendly and the food was amazing.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
As a couple in our 50's, Celebrity Millennium was fantastic and right about of activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
All of the shows were amazing, fantastic singers, dancers. My only complaint was not enough "big" shows with dancers, singers and acrobats and many of the other headliner shows were repeated through the cruise. This may have been because of the route (Japan to Singapore) and size of theatre--I don't know.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I always say, Celebrity treats me like a celebrity. The waitstaff, room stewards, officers, store employees---they all treated me as if I was a VIP.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The only reason I believe this deserves a downgrade is because the ship was about to go into dry dock and it showed some need for upkeep that I'm sure it will get there. Some of the public bathrooms were in need of refurbishment, but for a 20 year ship, I believed she looked as good as new. The elevators control panel seemed outdated and could use some updating. There were several times, when you couldn't tell if the button had been pushed or not because the light was so dim.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I've now sailed on every class of Celebrity ship and I love the layout of the cabin I had on the Millennium the best. The cabin was updated and was just as nice as the Beyond, which we were on last January. The closet is right next to the front door and not beside the bed, which gives you better access. The bathroom was a little smaller but there were no issues. HVAC system was perfect. I don't think I would change anything about the cabin.
We stayed in Tokyo several days before hand. Yokohama was a nice cruise terminal. Everyone was very friendly. The lines were easy to get through. Porters were right there to take your bags. It was very easy and pain-free.
I enjoyed this port. There were residents there to welcome us into port by waving flags. The terminal was close to main attractions, maybe only a 20 minute bus ride. Our departure was quite an event--there was a band playing and about 200 people to wish us good-bye.
The port was maybe about 40 minutes from Taipei in heavy traffic and was a nice cruise terminal. I loved our stop in Taiwan and wish I could have stayed longer.
Our excursions of Da Nang were fantastic and eventful. The port was more of an industrial port maybe an hour from Da Nang, which meant much or your port day was taken up by riding on a bus. I understand there are plans for a new terminal closer to Da Nang, which I see as a great tourist destination.
We stayed in Singapore for several days afterwards and loved it. Use a luggage service to take your luggage to your hotel and then get a "Big Bus" pass which will take you all around the city.
My only complaint of the disembarkation was caused by us using a luggage service and not knowing where to meet him at. If we had just used a ride share or cab, it would have been much simpler.
