Review summary

1st time cruiser, really had no expectations. Sailed on the Celebrity cruise lines Millenium. Service staff was excellent. State Room was comfortable and the staff was always in and out keeping it picked up. Every single one was attentive and the intent was to provide satisfaction. I had reservations regarding what my alcohol bill would be like but it wasn't as bad as what I imagined it would/could be. you could get a beer for 5 and premiums were 6. A glass of wine was 8-9 bucks, mixed drinks were 6-9 bucks. Food was as i'd heard; plentiful. But it wasn't necessarily the greatest. Not sure how a kitchen can please 3000+ people regarding flavor and spices, especially when the population is literally from all over the continenent. I think they do as i would have to do; go for the middle and try not to get too adventurous. Entertainment in the clubs was pretty good. Dj spun a lot of good tunes and all (band and DJ) tried to give you a good mix. We went for the dancing. We love touch dancing and they delivered; hustle, swing, waltz, salsa, meringue, samba and what ever it is you call what the kids are dancing to now. If you don't like what they're playing; give it a few minutes, they' do a nice job of giving everyone something you can enjoy.

Bought a few items at the port right off the boat; didn't really go for the shopping. Took the catamaran excursion on the Fury. Was very nice; went snorkeling and to a private beach. the reef was teeming with beautiful fish, some of the schools came right up to you. the beach was a nice stop. Free beer and wine, and water toys like a trampoline and kayaks, beach lounging chairs, hammocks and cabana's; all complimentary. Crew was very attentive and extremely safety conscious. If while snorkeling you popped your head up for more than a minute or two, someone was asking you if you were ok.

Took a cab to Tabyinka (SP??) beach. LOL... not exactly well developed.... going by looks; it looks more than a little sketchy, and take insect repellent, the no see-ums are a snackish little breed; but the water is so refreshing.

Pros: convenience of multiple entertainment venues

Cons: Smoke in the lounge. There was a designated area but the ventilation system didn't work very well if the club wasn't crowded; and short times at the ports, I mean why bother; why not spend two days in a port
