Review summary

We really enjoyed the ship. There were many activities to see and great entertainment. However, we wished that there had been more than "3" Penny slot machines in the Casino. During the time at sea when the activities were not the ones we would like to see, we would have liked to play a few Penny slots. However, an older man and his wife (in a wheel chair) were at 2 of the 3 machines all day long. The rooms and room service were great. Much better than expected. The meals were also pretty good, except that we could not always tell what we were ordering for the evening meal, and I got sick on the food twice, since I am diebetic, and don't take fat very well.

Great room. We were really surprised at the size of the window, and that we had room for chairs and a table. Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

Our friends said that they really enjoyed the trolley to the top of the mountain. However, we did not really see any thing down town that was much different from cities in the states.

Skagway, Alaska

Although we went on the White Pass Train ride, and it was very interesting, we did not think that it was worth over $100 per person to take the trip. We would have much rather taken or had time to take the boat out to see the whales.

Ketchikan, Alaska

We very much wish that we had had time to go see the Native Alaskan Villege and the totem poles. Instead, we only had time in port to see the "1" totem pole in town.

Nanaimo, British Columbia

We were not able to visit this port, and it was late at night .

Pros: Going to and getting in close to see Hubbard Glacier.

Cons: We did not stay enough time in the ports to see things. In Skagway, we went on the White Pass Train, but we would have also liked to have had time to take a boat out to see the shales, and in Ketchikan, we would have liked to have time to see the native Alaskan villege with the Totem poles.
