Review summary

Apart from Athens all the ports were very good indeed, especially Rhodes and Crete. The food in the dining room was excellent as was the service, we couldn’t see any point in paying an extortionate extra £55 to dine in a speciality restaurant. The service in the dining room was also excellent. Our cabin steward was also excellent as were the staff in the coffee area. Every one of the staff was cheerful, helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend this ship and that is coming from a couple whose this was their 93rd cruise. The only slight complaint about celebrity is that the rewards loyal customers seem to diminish slightly each year.

Unfortunately the ship’s orchestra seemed to think they were the star attraction at all the shows they played at , drowning out the sing. The bass and drummer were over powering.

The actual disembarkation was excellent. The only problem was they insisted we left the ship extremely early and we had to spend 6 hours at Athens airport before our flights time. We did complain about this on the day before we left the ship and was told it was a requirement of the Greek authorities. I don’t believe that at all. Would have sat quietly and comfortably in a lounge for at least 3 hours before being bussed to the airport, which was extremely noisy and uncomfortable.
