Review summary

Picked this itinerary as we wanted to see the Carnival in Rio. Was our 1st Celebrity cruise, but not our last.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We used the free dining option so we didn't have to eat at same time every evening. It also meant we could choose to join another 6 or 8 people or eat at a table for two. We used the MDR in the evenings, but tended to try different breakfast options. All were fine.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Gym was OK, but limited in terms of equipment. Spin bikes were very basic. There were a few quiz competitions in the lounge, but we discovered that questions were repeated at different sessions, encouraging some childish 'cheating'.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Full range of quality. Acrobats were excellent, but some of the other (music and dance mostly) acts were just OK.
