Review summary

Dealing with Celebrity off the boat was painful. Their corporate number was useless and rude, and their website buggy and often misleading or incorrect. Suggest using only the travel agent or the team on the ship. Once on the ship, things were great for me. Blu made Aqua class worth the extra money, even if some of the other “extras” weren’t honored. The itinerary, even when a port was removed, was great. Antarctica was perfect.

Buenos Aires embarkation was a madhouse. Lots of people for two ships. However, the signage and staff were adequate, and the process was relatively fast with minimal waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Trellis was fine. The Oceanview (buffet) was always packed. Qsine was interesting, though going once was enough to wear out the novelty. Tuscan grill was great. The Spa cafe underperformed. Sushi on Five was a good deal. Blu, however, was superb. Great menu. Awesome staff. Only for Aqua Class though.

Onboard Activities

The lectures were good. Everyone loved MickeyLive. Not a huge amount of variety, but I was never bored.

Did not like show topics, so I did not attend.

Children's Programs

No kids.

Service and Staff

Just great service all around on board.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship needs a remodel. There were broken chairs, and just general wear and tear. But it was clean, and the layout is great.

Cabin / Stateroom

Good cabin. Below pool deck, so sometimes noisy. Closer to the front, many people could hear the club (two floors up) all night.

Ports of call

Puerto Madryn, Argentina Did not visit port

Ship was advised to run at a lower speed and had to miss the port. Celebrity gave us a day of shipboard credit as compensation.

Montevideo, Uruguay

A lot of the areas downtown and near the port are closed on the weekends. What we could find, though, was great.
