Review summary

Our room and dining staffs were excellent!  Food choices were average. Select Dining is a nice option so you can choose your dinner time if 6:00 seems too early and 8:30 too late.  Not enough amenities for Elite Plus.  We've so enjoyed Michael's Club on past cruises--now it is "saved" for suites and it was empty 90% of the time.  Perhaps a daily block of time for Elite and higher so the space it is better utilized.  There is a small casual cafe that has a $7.00 cover charge--another opportunity to make money.  We did enjoy the Captain's Club Hostess, Alexandra, who was professional, helpful and very friendly.  The ports were the usual. BTW, while we stayed healthy, our traveling companions both became very ill and the second week, cruise cough was prevalent.  It beats me with the low price of fuel why overall costs weren't lower!  We've done the Panama Canal four times, but we would not take this cruise on the Infinity again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Nightly options were just o.k. Never cruised without at lease one night offering a filet mignon.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved having more classical shows rather than the big shows which all seem to be similar. Especially liked Brooks Ahron on piano, the Tango dancers and the multi talented people who could play instruments, sing and were funny.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin attendants, Newton and Michael, were great. In the Trellis Dining room, we had the expert service of Arturo and Olexsandr at second seating. Constellation Lounge had very personable staff!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Infinity needs to be more special.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our room was clean, balcony could have used sprucing up.

Ship tip

Enjoy smaller ships (up to 2,000) best. Staff cleaning of common areas not as visible as in past. Inconsistent A/C and table clean-up in cafeteria dining room. Organic hand cleaners would be better; not keen on rubbing toxins on skin, with harmful ingredients being rubbed directly into bloodstream.

Ports of call

Panama Canal Transit

5 out of 5
Fourth adventure through canal and always interesting.
