Review summary

This was our first time cruising and Celebrity spoiled us. We loved all the destinations and being able to come back to the ship and relax in comfort.

More food & drink than I could ever eat. Impressive spread at the Oceanview cafe. The MDR food & service was excellent.

Onboard Activities

We mostly enjoyed the pools & Sunset Deck. Too tired from our days in port to do anything else.

Entertainment

We only went to one show, a tribute to Whitney Houston. The musicians were all excellent. It was a fun evening. We were not interested in any of the other productions.

The ship was very clean & staff were constantly maintaining it.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a veranda cabin and it was surprisingly spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was good. It would have been convenient to have outlets beside our bed. Our steward cleaned our room daily and provided turndown service each night. It was nice to return to our cabin in the evening and find chocolates on our pillows

Ports of call

Porto, Portugal

Leixoes port is about a 40 minute drive from Porto so we really appreciated the complimentary shuttle bus the cruise provided to and from the city. We planned our own day with a boat tour of the river and a port tasting at Cálem distillery. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Tangier, Morocco

Gangway went down at 7am which is a bit too early to do anything in port at that time. We booked a private tour with a guide & driver for the day through Trip Advisor. It was a six hour tour and we really enjoyed being able to customize our day to our own interests. I thought Tangier was exotic & beautiful. Our guide took us through places in the Medina we never would have found.

Lisbon, Portugal

Another stunner of a port. You literally walk off the ship and you are at the base of the Alfama district. Best port for ease of access to the city by far. We did our own thing. Day one we spent in Sintra and day two we did a 3 hour walking tour of Lisbon and then strolled around Alfama.
