Review summary

All in all we were pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved cruising Celebrity! Can't wait to do it again in December on her sister ship

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Boarding Celebrity is a totally different experience than NCL. We completed our pre-cruise check-in before we boarded, so embarkation was easy peasy! We arrived at the port, I believe around 12:00, had our boarding pass on our phone app, showed our passports, and we were on our way! What also differs greatly from NCL is that you go to your cabin to get your key cards and are able to leave your carryon baggage in the room so you can explore the ship more comfortably. We also met our room steward at that time, Joseph, he was great. Very helpful and friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
For a quick snack at lunch time, we would go to the buffet area. Not bad for Buffet food, always a nice selection, but you had to know what you wanted and we stayed away from the chicken which was very dry and extremely overcooked. We had Celebrity Select Dining in Silhouette, and our experience was the best we’ve had on any cruise. We always requested to sit where our favorite servers were, Rambo, Carlo, Novia – they took super good care of us and knew exactly what we liked and what we didn't.

Ship Quality

WOW - loved it and all the small things that you didn't think you needed but were nice to have. I have to say they thought of everything

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was bit narrow, but hey I am on vacation and not living in it LMAO The bathroom was fine with alot of storage areas, extra tissue boxes and toilet paper. Nice large flat screen TV. The one thing missing are USB Outlets near the bed :-(

Ship tip

Leave your stress and worries behind and take in this glorious beauty of a ship. Most importantly - ENJOY YOURSELF!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Barcelona is one of our preferred destinations, when cruising out of Barcelona we usually stay a few days earlier than embarkation. We visit our favorite Tapas place, restaurants and bars.

Seville, Spain

5 out of 5
We basically took an excursion - just for the bus ride since it was a Seville on your own tour- which is not our usual thing to do but since it was a bit far, we wanted to make sure we were back to the ship in time. LOL Beautiful old city.

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
This is our second favorite city and what a pleasure to have an overnight here. We didn't rush off the ship since we have already been there for 5 days a few months back. So we just walked around and took in the atmosphere and did some shopping. I had made reservations for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Lisbon. We got back to the ship around 10pm

Porto, Portugal

3 out of 5
Nice town near the river, but was not impressed too much with the city center. Some beautiful buildings when they weren't under construction and hidden behind scaffolding. I also found this city dirty compared to Lisbon.

Tangier, Morocco

Was not impressed with this port and could have done without this stop.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Barcelona is one of the easiest ports to disembark - super organized and friendly port staff.
