Review summary

We had a great cruise. Service and food were excellent. I was at my happiest when sitting on the balcony reading. Peace and quiet...my husband and I recharged and reconnected.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy. Walked right on. Disappointed that we embarked from Port Everglades Terminal 29 (the ugly stepsister of Terminal 25).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent, especially in Luminae. We tried all the specialty restaurants...Tuscan-excellent food/frantic service, Le Petite Chef-good food/unique experience, Murano-fair, Sushi on 5-disappointing. Buffet was solid, themed differently each day (italian, asian, mexican, greek, etc).

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed solarium pool in the evening. It stays open until 11 pm with little to no crowds after 9 pm.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Headliner shows and comedian was ok. Individual singers/bands that played in smaller venues were excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love this sized ship. She is an old girl, but maintained well. Ship was immaculately clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved this cabin. We won our Move Up bid and moved from prime veranda to Aqua class sky suite. Cabin was 2x as wide as veranda and balcony was shaded due to overhang of oceanview cafe. We were concerned about noise from buffet above but it was negligible

Ship tip

Average age of the passengers was 70+. It was an adjustment for us...we normally cruise RC with our kids. The most medical emergencies I have ever experienced while cruising.

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Took a taxi to Eagle Beach for the day. $15 each way. Our ship was delayed by several onboard medical emergencies...all the chairs/umbrellas were already rented, but we made the best of it. The Coco Loco bar helped!

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Not the worst, but not the best port we have embarked from.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Snorkeled at Tugboat Beach/Caracas Bay in the morning-it was awesome, so many fish! Booked through the ship. Ventured out again after dark to place a love lock on the hearts by the floating bridge.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

4 out of 5
Rented a golf cart and toured the island on our own.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Booked snorkeling and stingray city through the ship. Snorkeling-ok, stingray city-awesome!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy. Disembarked from Port Everglades- terminal 25. Facial recognition for passport holders makes it seamless.
