Review summary

We could do this trip repeatedly! A good mix of port days and sea days. I think of it as therapy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the food was quite good. We ate most dinners in the MDR. Lunch buffet could have more selection, but available offerings were good. Breakfast buffet was very good. Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict station.

Silhouette Restaurant

4 out of 5

Very good service. Menu was ok, not great, but steak or salmon was always available. Long lines on a couple nights. Reservations don't mean anything. Overall, pleasant dining.

Room Service

2 out of 5

Took over an hour to have breakfast delivered.

Oceanview Café and Bar

4 out of 5

We enjoyed the Indian food selections at lunch and once for dinner. And, of course, the ice cream. Other desserts looked pretty, but not so good. Salad offerings were good.

Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria

What's not to like! I started each day here.

Onboard Activities

Fitness Center

If you go very early they're not really ready for you. Equipment not always turned on. No water to drink until about an hour after opening.

Solarium

Our favorite hangout. Not crowded. Comfortable seating with seat cushions. Hot tubs were actually hot.

Lawn Club

Very unique feature.

Entertainment

Celebrity Theater

Evening shows were about 50/50. Comedians were not good. The one production show was very good. The Aretha show (by Asia) was really good. But there were a couple nights where they just seemed to wing it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very good service all around, although room service was very slow in the mornings.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the ship. Easy access to everything. Very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

This is an aft-view cabin. I always enjoy a good aft. Spent a lot of time on the balcony. Long walk to stairs/elevator though.

Ship tip

Unplug.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

7 Mile Beach is a misnomer. Serious erosion has taken it's toll. We did enjoy our swim with dolphins.

Willemstad, Curacao

First time here. Very impressed. Did an independent snorkeling adventure to see the turtles. Beautiful island. Want to return.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Rented a golf cart and made our own way around. Great day. Been here before and snorkeled last time. Diving and snorkeling can't be beat here. Flamingos in the wild too!

Oranjestad, Aruba

Always a fav of our's! Been here several times. Eagle Beach is the best!

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Disembarkation

Immigration and customs was very slow, but that's not Celebrity's fault.

I did the same itinerary on Equinox in September! So happy you enjoyed it all as much as I did, and I hope your next cruise is just as wonderful!

Thanks for the happy review. I board Equinox in THREE days…also in a SV. There is nothing like the wake view 😎.
