Overall a very nice cruise with great weather and a funny Captain (Tasos)
Embarkation

Getting on the ship was easy. Getting to the ship from the parking area to the ship was very difficult for my friend who had to walk so far. The ship and cruise are irrelevant when you dread parking. We have been cruising since 1983 and this is a port we won’t go back to. When each of us asked if there were an easier more passenger respected way, it was a No! Unbelievable!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The food in the Oceanview far out-weighed the main dining room. The desserts in the Café al Bacio were wonderful. Again better than the Main dining room.
Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria

This is a great place to get all sorts of coffee blends while meeting up with friends and/or family, or alone while you make plans for the day as you look at the beautiful Caribbean water. Hint-If you are seated, rather than ordering from the front, one of the nice servers will also get you one or more of the desserts and/or a mixed drink, or beer, from another bar! The best part was the muffins in the morning and made-daily desserts! There are three kinds of cookies and four shelves of a nice variety of torts, pies, cakes, mousses, and more, that are not only pretty, but really delicious. The chocolate cake with caramel icing was a favorite, as well as the variety of cheese cakes and pies. For someone who doesn’t drink coffee, the milkshake-like Mudslide went really well with any of the sweet choices! Enjoy!

Bad disk. No interest. BUT now you won’t take my real answer so I’ll give one star, which will lower the average incorrectly. Why no n/a?
Entertainment

Saw only one show if Broadway Music. The singers were very good.
Children's Programs
They wouldn’t let me in.
Service and Staff

Yevhannii and Ayu(?) were great. Rose in the Café al Bacio was nice and helpful.
Our room steward was nice. I asked for the weird, annoying fast talking woman when changing stations on the TV to be fixed and that wasn’t done, he kept knocking on our door before dinner time rather than coming after he was sure we were gone. He gave us 2 luggage tags. I went to Guest Relations to get more. Simple but noticed.
Ship Quality

This newly refurbished, for millions of dollars, Equinox is the first Celebrity ship I’ve been on and expected a stronger, more elegant ambiance. I thought the Celebrity line was a cut above RCCL, but I didn’t see any difference, especially after a new remodel. Nice, though.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the balcony even though the life boat (17) partially blocked the view. The beds divided are way too close together for having your personal sleeping space. The bathroom is good. The vinyl couch and chest of drawers are okay. The balcony chairs are pretty uncomfortable and one should be a lounge chair. It was kept clean.
Ship tip
Splurge on specialty restaurants. Check out the Café al Bacio even if you don’t drink coffee. The desserts are amazing!
The parking and total disregard by the cruise ships to not provide a shuttle or a way for people to get help getting so far from the vehicle to the ship is a deal breaker for my friends and I . I asked on the ship and got no real answer. We know our next cruise won’t be from Port Everglades.
We walked around and found a horse and carriage that took us far enough to see lots of things on our ride. Lots of fun and good price! I have never seen as many taxis in such a small area. They fill up one lane one behind the other, no matter where you are. Loads and loads of shops and too many people trying to get you to come in each. They are all very much alike. Stay with ship recommendations.
I have been there before. I had purchased a walking tour to the Hemingway house, but due to my back issues, I didn’t go. My friend did though and she enjoyed it.
In the future, pull up your car right to the terminal and get out there so that you don’t have to walk so far from the parking lot. You can have a friend park the car, if that’s an option. There are thousands of people boarding each ship. They can’t possibly assist so many people.
