Review summary

Hoarded in like cattle through many areas of checkpoint. No one seemed to be willing to assist us with our bags, and I was the one who had to take it all in stride because my husband had been injured at work. A necessary life boat drill, but done in a Mickey Mouse manner. Each person, with the exception of Peter, our Steward wanted to make sure to get us to upgrade our packages, which already cost WAY too much. Shops on board overpriced, per usual, food plentiful and nourishing, but not "special" in any way. The venues were jammed all together in 3 days, one after another. No time to recoup from the heat, way too short a time on the island. St Maarten was the worst as far as nastiness goes. People knee deep in begging for you to use their taxi, chairs, food, wine, etc etc. And the picture pressure was also annoying. This is not what I envisioned this kind of adventure to look like or feel like. Mass marketing and capitalism with a capital "C". Ridiculous.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good at buffet and restaurant was ok, but the maitre D was very cranky and scolded us each time because our party was "too big"...um...really?

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool ok, but nothing else interested me because the people were trying to SELL me everything at all times. VERY intrusive!

Entertainment

Do not go for it.

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Top notch! Peter our steward was attentive, fun and kind. BEST thing about this cruise.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was hard to find the correct elevator to access some parts of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was adequate. Loved the balcony

Ship tip

The cruise director and her intrusions each day explaining things in English AND Spanish was annoying. There were tons of other languages spoken on the ship, she was annoying to only do this in Spanish. Do not bother with a drink package if you do not drink alcohol. Nickel and dime you to death and try to upsell you constantly. Very bothersome.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

San Juan, Puerto Rico
