Review summary
Wife and I just returned from a 10 day cruise on Celebrity Equinox. Ports of call were, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Dominica,Barbados and St. Maarten. This was our second consecutive cruise on the Equinox, we first sailed on her in March 2014, and our fourth cruise overall with Celebrity. Celebrity continues a fine tradition in upscale cruising, however I noticed some subtle changes. It seemed Celebrity might have cut back on the crew. Bar service around the pool area was slow due to lack of waiters and was hit and miss around some of the bars on board. The food in the MDR was good but not outstanding. We dined one night in the Silk Harvest and found the food to be very good and the service outstanding. The Oceanview was usually crowded during peak hours but the food and selection was quite good. We dined in the MDR for breakfast several times, nothing special but you were served and it was lot less hectic than the Oceanview. The shows in the theater were better than expected, but the entertainment around the bars and such weren't that great. The ship and interior was in great condition, the rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job. Minor complaints aside I think Celebrity offers a great cruising experience and we booked our next cruise on board for Bermuda in June 2016

Ship tip
Check out the cakes and other sweet thing at Cafe Bacio, deck 5 midship, they are free and you don't have to buy the coffee. If you have a classic drink package the coffee and teas are free and they are quite good. There is always free coffee and tea at OceanView Cafe, but Cafe Bacio offers espresso
