Review summary

If you want to be pampered, have awesome entertainment, super friendly crew then this ship is for you! Because we stayed in a suite, our alcohol, gratuities and wifi was included. For the 1st time we loved everything about this ship and cruise line. Everyone we met, had literally been on this ship at least 3x and had switched over from all the other cruiselines. Now we know why...hook line and sinker. We will return to RCCL and Carnival, BUT they are hard to beat. It's a different environment on this line they cater more to couples. There were only 3 kids on board....so they don't have a water park, slides or rock climbing walls, etc. This is a ship you go to find yourself again and get your zen back.

Food and Dining

Fine Cut Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Best steak I ever had. I would say comparable to Chops Steakhouse on RCCL. But, steaks were more tender and bursting with flavor. Service was impeccable.

Luminare at the Retreat

The food was ALWAYS perfect! They really take care of you, endless possibilities. Not on menu, no problem. They will whip up anything your little heart desires.😁 And I mean ANYTHING.

Oceanview Café

Great breakfast and lunch variety. Dinner can be hit/miss. We only ate there once for dinner. We dined mostly in Luminae and specialty restaurants. We always walked by though just to see what they offered...

Retreat Pool Bar

The best suites area we have stayed in. Lots of room, beautiful loungers, pool, jacuzzi, bar area and little nooks to hide out.

Onboard Activities

The cruise director was great and engaged with everyone. Could have used a little more activities, but still awesome time.

Every crew member greated you with warmth, smiling eyes and eager to please. Didn't matter where on the ship you were at, they always greeted you with enthusiasm.

We had a S1 Sky Suite. There are only 12 of them in this class. It's a corner aft Suite. We had a butler and a room steward. Plenty of storage, comfy and roomy. Loved the bathroom setup. Large shower/tub combo & private toilet area. It has a corner for the ladies to sit and do their hair/makeup complete with outlet, mirror, lighted mirror and shelves. The balcony was large with 2 full lounge chairs and 2 reg chairs. Oh and the amazing views!

Ship tip

If you haven't tried Celebrity, go for it, especially the Edge class. Our 1st Celebrity cruise and glad we tried them. Can't go wrong.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We booked the double decker bus tour. So...much...fun! Took us to Maho beach, Topper's Rhum Distillery (let us sample all the flavors) they sell homemade icecream infused with their rum, oh my was it delicious😋. Then toured the island and went to the cheese place. Shopping in the port was meager because we were only ship in with like 800 people so they didn't have all the shops open.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We took a taxi to Mountain top. Has amazing views and great shopping. The port areas don't have shopping worth our time. Plus we got to try the amazing daiquiris, got to be careful though they poor them strong.😂

Nassau, Bahamas

We decided to stay on the ship because we couldn't get off without an excursion booked. We don't exactly care for Nassau anyhow.

Traveler Photos

Luminae (Suites restaurant) Wow! Just wow on all shows. We are use to Royal's Oasis class ships and their entertainment. Celebrity knocked it out of the park. I have to say Celebrity surpassed Royal on production shows! Royal still has amazing shows, but Celebrity was just cutting edge. They only do a show twice on the same night then next day is something different. So one night is a comedy show, next production show, a singer, another production number, magic show, etc. They had 4 big productions that included singers with amazing voices, dancers, acrobatics & gymnasts with no harnesses. Just jaw dropping performances....need I say more? Ship was always immaculate. Loved the layout....everything made sense of where it was located. Separate sitting area IN the bathroom for us ladies.😆 Bedroom

Drink package, WiFi and gratuities are not exclusive to suite guests. We were in a SV and received the same perks.
