Review summary

We are glad we went on the innovative Edge, the ship’s design was outstanding. It was the little things like no celery or limes for drinks that were disappointing. The four main dining rooms were excellent. I would not spend money on speciality dining again as the quality of food was not worth the up charge.

They did not have celery and limes for drinks. The four main dining rooms were an excellent idea. The Fine Cut Steakhouse was not worth the up charge. The table was too small for 4 people. The steaks were very good but not over the top for the cost. The sides were a disappointment.

The Rave-ons were the best show we saw.

Overall the service was excellent. Our room steward Sonny did an excellent job. Eby a waiter in the Normandie DR was excellent. Vivie in the Cafe Bacio was the best. Taitina a drink server always recognized us through out the ship. Noor in the Oceanview Cafe was friendly. We were able to meet and chat with the senior staff at the Captains Club parties which was very nice.

The ship was beautiful as advertised. It was well maintained and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was comfortable. The veranda was small and the chairs uncomfortable. The infinite veranda was interesting but we prefer an open balcony for our next cruise. We had to lower the shade to reduce the heat when the sun was shining in, so no views. The room was clean. The bathroom was good for one person at a time. We took turns getting ready.

Ship tip

Enjoy the four main dining rooms and save your money for other spending such the casino or shops.

We have been to Aruba many times so we always enjoy it. Went on the excursion Best of Aruba with friends who had never been. They enjoyed accept the pile of boulders that had to be climbed through. The bus ride was pleasant except the trail full of ruts near Baby Bridge. The women Erelyn was very good as the driver and spokesperson for the trip around the island.

I agree with you about the Fine Cut Steakhouse. Had much better steak at Eden and Le Petit Chef.
