Review summary

A quick overview of my cruise can be summed up in a few suggestions a seven day cruise with Celebrity packs a lot of itinerary you only get one day at sea which leaves me with very little time to explore the ship except at night don’t get me wrong the ship is one of the most beautiful ships I have been on and this is my 17th cruise . But only one day at sea gives you very little time to enjoy the ship. My suggestion to Celebrity is give up one stop like Valencia Spain which was really a waste of time especially that it stops on a Sunday where there’s nothing open in that city. like I wrote before I was on the aqua class balcony room I personally feel that the aqua class is a waste of money specially when you don’t have enough time to use the spa on the ship ,because every day you are getting off. Except for one day at sea also my suggestion book ahead of time specialty restaurants as they are the best specialty restaurant I’ve had in many cruises. Pre-purchase your Wi-Fi package and you will save money the Internet on the ship was pretty good not super fast but fast ,the staff was amazing, The ship was clean and shows were great.

This cabin is a fairly brand new so the room is super clean and super modern we had a Aqua class balcony room .

Ship tip

So let me begin telling you my personal experience about the ship, Aqua class in my personal Opinion not really worth the big bucks. You do get priority embarkation and access to the spa all day the thing about it is that this spa is made up of several rooms like a sauna , haman, and other natural steam rooms but it’s not even comparable to Princess cruises spa where you have the enclave in in the middle a big Jacuzzi private for you to soak in. Pay attention to your stops in the days you make the stops as sometimes there are not a lot of things to do such as a stop on a Sunday where things are closed and they start on a Monday like a Ibiza where everyone is partied out and not much to do but chill and sun

Ports of call

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

This is one of the most beautiful stops on the cruise there’s so much to do in this port you can tour Nice France you can go to Monaco Monte Carlo but I do suggest you do an excursion or an organized tour for this stop as there’s so much to do. One of the most beautiful stops on our cruise leave early to maximize your time this is a tender stop

La Spezia, Italy

This is one of the stops that a lot of people told us not much to do but going to see the leaning tower Pisa . But I have a different suggestion for you take a quick taxi ride to a small village called Lerici over there you’ll see a small Fishermans port where you can hire a private boat ride to the islands located nearby for a quick lunch and amazing scenery cost us about €200 for four people but the staff was amazing with the scenery that you see

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Be careful when you disembark taxi drivers at the port are hustlers they will chew and bite through your wallet if you need a ride to the city center the driver that we took hustled us €200 for a ride to the city center when we arrived at the hotel they told us that we were hustled my suggestion is book transfers online ahead of time. Another tip I can give you is try to leave early the ship so you can have enough time in Rome as there’s so much to see in such an historic city. The ride from the port to the city is about 55 minutes give or take we stayed at a hotel overnight and then took a taxi to the airport which is cost about €48 A great place to have dinner in Roman is Zuma reservation suggested ahead

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

We were un-lucky with the weather as it was raining the whole day in the middle of July Ibiza is extremely quiet on a Monday as it seems like everyone is partied out during the weekend so I don’t recommend Celebrity doing a stop on a Monday as it’s not a lot of options exist but chilling in the sun. If it’s in the middle of the week don’t expect hard partying or famous DJs

Valencia, Spain

This port happen to be on a Sunday where everything is closed in this city we could not have seen everything we wanted to like the market which was closed on Sundays we tour of the city quickly with a taxi see what we could see and that was about it extremely hot during July. The air just stands over there

Marseille (Provence), France

This is another stop where I would say if you could schedule a excursion do it because not a lot to do in this port

Good run down of trip.

Nice to see a review that was factual, with some valuable information. The stops descriptions sound very like our own experiences, and not either unnecessarily scathing or sugar coated.

Thanks for the great review, and your excursion suggestions. Also including the prices. I wish more people would do that. Helps with planning.
