We really liked to cruise on the Edge: excellent service and staff, excellent food, 4 port of call.
But for sure, the enterainment and the ambiance on the ship is under expectation for us (appart the show at the Eden). Because of this, and because there is not much to do, I don't think it's a good idea to cruise on the Edge if you are a young couple, or even a familly with young or teen children. We were there with my daughter (21) and her boyfriend and they find very boring the 2 days at sea.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
As smooth as possible when you have your check-in done and your sea pass in hands (20min. max)
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Excellent foods at the main dining rooms (we did all 4) and at the Finecut Steakhouse.
The buffet is also incredible, particularly the last sea day.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The pool, the spa and the fitness center are very nice.
But there is not much to do on that ship
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The only show that you really don't want to miss is the one at the Eden... simply exceptional and magical. Shows at the theatre and musicicans are very ordinary... sometimes poor.
Children's Programs
No children under 16 in our group.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service on the Edge is very good. Only good words for them.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship is very clean (5/5 for that) but the design is a little bit strange for me. It is very different, not saying it is not good but I am not conviced about all the design choices.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
My room was very nice. The infinity Veranda give more space and more light but I prefere much more a real balcony. I never felt myself outside even when the window was fully opened...
We went to seven miles beach. First, the taxi service was a mess and, second, the people there did have a good attitude toward us. The beach was very beautiful but it lost a lot of sand so now young children can't play in the water at 3 feets from the beach, the water is already at 5-6 feets.
