Review summary

For my husband and I this was an epic fail this was as the Edge was not ready for paying customers and we overpaid and got little for what we were promised. There were so many issues during the weekend, they should be ashamed of themselves for taking our money for a Sky Suite and boasting about the 'Retreat'. Celebrity is way more impressed with themselves than we are. I can go on and on but suffice to say Celebrity better get their act together as people were so mad at the inefficiencies, slow service, lack of activities, etc. and frankly while people do not spend a ton of time in the room, these are smaller than most other ships in same category. It was obvious that all they cared about was taking more and more of our money throughout the weekend. I will not sail Celebrity again as much as I used to love the brand.

Luminae, the speciality restaurant was ridiculous, lines to get in, smallest portions, the food mediocre. The Buffet ended up being the best food venue, except for the fact we paid for the Retreat Class with private dining, etc which I would not have done knowing the Buffet was better.

Onboard Activities

Limited activities, however we just wanted to sit by pool anyway so other than some lectures, art exhibit, there wasn't much anyway.

We ran into some staff we knew from other sailings, so that was lovely. Other than that our Butler was non existent, again another Suite Class Amenity I would forgo next time.

We got totally DUPED as to the reason I am so negative about this recent cruise. The photos show the Bed facing the water and that was so exciting to me. Lo and behold, the bed did not face the water, just the wall so it was a total sham. The balcony was nice and larger than most other rooms.

Ship tip

Wait for a year until they get their act together and are ready for paying customers. Call ahead and speak with a Celebrity Agent about the room you book to be very clear on it's size, amenities, etc.
