Review summary

This was only our third Celebrity Cruise, having been on the Reflection & Solstice previously. With all the hype on the Edge we expected it to wow us. We found everything from the rooms, staff and ports of calls to be average. It is not worth spending the extra money Celebrity costs over other Cruiselines. I do not think I would go back on the Edge again, but would go back on the Reflection anytime.

We were in a Sky suite where we are to have both a butler & room attendant. Both were friendly and willing to help us when we could find them. Far less available than on the Celebrity Solstice in September.

Ship Quality

Very clean & well maintained. Overall feel of the ship was “cold” and broken in chunks. Nothing flowed.

Cabin / Stateroom

Smaller cabin than the sky suite on the Solstice. Has large rocking chair in middle of room that is always in the way. Least amount of storage I have had on any ship.

Ship tip

Do not have high expectations just because it is new.

Helicopter ride at dark was okay. Walking the town after dark made us a little nervous.

Can see they have not recovered completely since the hurricane. Disappointed Celebrity did not offer an excursion to Orient Beach. This used to be my favourite port.

Disembarkation

Was very quick. Only problem was prearranged transportation through Celebrity months ago only to find out the night before disembarkment we would not have it.
