Review summary

The weather plays and incredible aspect to anything and this cruise had possibly the best weather available. The Drake passage was a lake, the icebergs were set against a stunning blue sky and yes we have thousands of photos. The trip superseded my expectations.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
painless, yes a bus ride but nothing too difficult or out of the ordinary

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Not one complaint about any of the food options, locations etc. Food was supurb as were the staff who attended us everywhere.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The gym for me is a must and this gym worked perfectly, as did the spa pools and sauna. Great facilities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Some of the shows are above expectation for a ship. Awesome experiences and a great way to sort out the evening.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall, its hard to fault any of the staff.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
I liked the walking track. you could add some stairs and make the track all the way to the front and back of the boat. This is the first ship where this has been obviously able to be done.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect cabin, could have been a floor higher or further away from the life boats when they are dropped to take people ashore. Certainly not an issue for us though.

Ship tip

Use the stairs, too many people use the lifts.

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

Its a port without a lot of value from my perspective. We never used any excursions but rented taxis and got to drive around. It is what it is.

Montevideo, Uruguay

2 out of 5
WE did a excursion which we found only OK. You need to visit all cities towns etc to see how a place works. We were only there for a short time so never got to see or feel the place. The restaurants ashore were spectacular.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
WE were back to back so it was very easy.

We did this itinerary last year and had fabulous weather and an unforgettable good time. Our most memorable part was visiting the penguin colonies in the Falkland Islands. Thanks for sharing your experience!
