This was a trip of a lifetime and well worth it. We’ve been on seven cruises in the last year and this will be the most memorable. Celebrity went above and beyond our expectations making this a fantastic voyage.
Embarkation

Arrived early and it was a smooth embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We mostly dined at the Blu (Aqua class). The food was delicious and the service was superb. Occasionally we ventured to the buffet for delicious Indian food (our favorite)
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Activity was limited which wasn’t an issue since this was a scenic cruise. Most people spent their time viewing the amazing glaciers, seals, whales and penguins. Really didn’t think about much else besides the privilege to be surrounded by such a beautiful and magical place.
Service and Staff

Couldn’t have asked for a better crew. The director (Manual) was funny and awesome and always kept us up-to-date. The captain did a terrific job navigating us thru Antarctica and made sure everyone had a view of the wildlife. He’d let us know exactly where to look. Our steward (Putu) did a fantastic job keeping our cabin spiffy twice a day. Great bartenders (per my spouse) that remembered what beer he liked before he even asked. Our Blu servers were top-notch.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an aqua balcony on the 11th deck. Great views from the balcony. Cabin was comfortable and had a nice bathroom with glass shower door. We enjoyed our time here.
Ship tip
We found eating early at the MDR or buffet avoided the crowds
We stayed here a week. This was our second visit and sadly it had changed significantly. More crime (we knew two people who were mugged outside the hotel during the day). Avoid wearing watches and jewelry.
We had a wonderful time hiking the National Park. Be advised if it’s windy, the dust from the roads can be extreme at times. Best to walk on the paths.
It was amazing for the time we spent there. We took a ship sponsored excursion and the bus broke down. We had to transfer to another bus so we arrived very late and was rushed (to see the penguins). Arrived back to the port late but thankfully since this was an excursion booked with Celebrity they waited for us to arrive back. Seeing the penguins was awesome even if rushed.
