Review summary

This was my first cruise and it was excellent! I would highly recommend Celebrity Eclipse. The Cruise Director, Eddy Jenkins was very funny and upbeat all the time. The food, entertainment, cabin, etc. were excellent and I would definitely go back onboard again!

Food and Dining

Oceanview Cafe and Bar

Crowded on sea days but OMG the food was delicious!! Excellent variety throughout the day. Loved afternoon tea! There just wasn't enough hours in the day to sample everything they had to offer!!!

Moonlight Sonata Restaurant

3 out of 5

The Moonlight Sonata looks very impressive. However, it was over-crowded and I felt rushed on the one night I dined there. The staff were over-worked but very efficient. The food was nice. I had to share a table with 3 other couples but was told I had to wait until everybody was seated before they could take my order!

Blu Restaurant

4 out of 5

The service and food were excellent. However on two nights I didn't particuarly like any of the food on the menu but overall it was lovely. Very peaceful, lovely views and the staff were excellent, particularly waiter, Artha, Assistant waiter, Pendi, the girl at the desk, Tatianna and the 'chief', Martin!!

AquaSpa Cafe

There wasn't much of a choice at lunch time - really just cookies and small nibbles. There was a menu on the wall but I didn't like any of the food on it!!

Fortune's Casino

Great fun!!! I went down on two nights with 20 dollars each night. The first night I won 10 dollars but then lost it again and the second night I won 20 dollars and kept it!!! Great fun and entertaining!!

Shops on the Boulevard

4 out of 5

99% of the shops were over-priced. I particularly liked the Eclipse shop - they had a sale on the last sea day. Eduardo were very helpful and friendly. Daniel too. Both were very efficient and great at their jobs!

Guest Relations And Excursions

I found they didn't understand my queries and were unhelpful. Nobody ever got back to me to resolve my problems. I had to do it via email!

Celebrity Theater

Entertainment each night was excellent - I didn't go on only one night as it was a Hypnotists and I can't stand them!!! Overall there was great acts every night!

Art Gallery

3 out of 5

The 'paintings' were mostly prints or 'crafty' pictures. Very much overpriced. But Alex and Gioanni were very upbeat and friendly. It was entertaining and good fun to attend the auctions!

I packed too much! Only bring the essentials and some spare cases to pack up everything on the last day!!

Didn't get to see everything I wanted to as the ship seemed to dock a long way from the town.

I wish we could have stayed here a bit longer - I felt the day was rushed! We had a tour with Norwegian Excursions (Anita) but didn't have time to explore the town at all as we had to be back on the ship at 3pm!
