This was our first celebrity cruise, we’ve mostly cruised with royal Caribbean. Although the eclipse was smaller we still enjoyed it and she holds a certain charm. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. There were some things that could be improved but not enough for me not to cruise with celebrity again.
Embarkation

Very easy and straightforward
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
MDR was good but some meals weren’t very good quality. Muranos was the best out of the 3 we tried, great food and great service. Quisine I thought was a neat idea but the food wasn’t brilliant and got quite monotonous after a bit. The Tuscan grill was nice but again there was the feeling of the food, particularly the steak was not of top quality. All in all, good but no wow factor.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Outdoor Pools were a bit on the small side. Only used the indoor one once. We loved the activities run by Giuseppe the activities manager. Games with the officers and the quizzes. Very enjoyable and fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Enjoyed all of the shows each night, always the best part of the holiday for me.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
We hardly ever saw our room steward and when we did there wasn’t much conversation, this was quite the opposite to the experiences we had on previous ships. (RC) our waiter in the MDR was very good. The activities manager was excellent and the cruise director grew on us after a few days. We didn’t have a good experience in the casino, one member of staff was particularly unhelpful and rude. We didn’t spend much time there after that.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
We really liked the ship although we did miss having a promenade as we have been used to having that on previous ships. This wasn’t too detrimental though as we still really liked the ship and it always seemed clean and tidy.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We always have an inside cabin and so we know what to expect. It’s not massive but there’s enough room to be comfortable. Comfy bed. A bit of tlc in the bathroom was probably needed. Cupboard front came off in my hand upon opening it.
