Excellent Itinerary, Great Cruise, could have had better service

Sail Date: March 06, 2016

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Our cruise was excellent with great ports that had perfect beaches and great shopping experiences.  The ship could have been better maintained and the beverage service was overwhelmed.  Our cabin stewards were the best and the dining room and specialty restaurant service was excellent.  The Celebrity excursions were average with the process being their usual unorganized chaos with long wait times.  The food was good, but not up to their usual high standards on this particular cruise.

We will sail again on Celebrity, but we hope that this experience was a one off.  Cruise One and Debbie and Bob Knox are the best and always find a way to make cruising easier and even more fun.

Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was excellent with great stewards. It was in great shape and always clean and ready for us. The stewards were friendly and very helpful.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Both processes were excellent
Ship Quality
Ship was clean inside, but windows and walkways could have been cleaner.
Destinations and Excursions
Ports were excellent but the Celebrity provided excursions were average

Food and Dining
Food quality not up to the usual Celebrity quality
Miami, Florida
Oranjestad, Aruba
Willemstad, Curacao
Bridgetown, Barbados
Best beaches! We went to The Boatyard and were treated very well.
Castries, St. Lucia
Take a tour if you can!
St. John's, Antigua
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Take the railroad and catamaran tour!
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Save your shopping until here!

Don't miss the main entertainers, the glass blowing, the specialty restaurants and the evening sky lounge entertainment.

The shopping is not usually better than the value you can get from the ports. The shipboard shops have to report sales to customs, but the port shops usually do not.
