Review summary
This was my wife and I's second year in a row on the Eclipse's transatlantic crossing. Last year was a rough crossing - so rough that we couldn't get into Cork, Ireland. This year the Atlantic was a mill pond. A great cruise. The entertainment was the best we've ever seen on a cruise ship. The food was superb, the dining room and cabin staff were exemplary. The boarding and disembarcation process were faultless. Only one problem. We had as usual a balcony cabin - deck 6 - midships - less rolling in heavy seas. Only one complaint. The shelving, wardrobe, drawers and storage in the cabins is pathetic to say the least. When we docked in Southampton we flew to Tome and a few days later we boarded the Navigator of the Seas - (also owned by Celebrity. The balcony cabin shelving, wardrobe, drawers and storage in that ship was excellent. The Eclipse's storage is a 2 door shelf above the bed - what a joke. The best cabin storage is on the Norwegian Line - which by the way should have the poorest clothing wardrobes since the whole ship is casual. My wife and I bring a lot of clothes when we cruise with Asmara, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Their formal nights are wonderful. Storing clothes on the Eclipse is difficult - the Silhouette has the same problem.Ship experiences
